Hello , I’m Kampy otherwise known as Kampfire, a comic artist and illustrator from
I am very passionate about storytelling, especially those that focus on the nuanced often overlooked aspects of everyday life. Most of my artwork features liminal spaces, weird science, creatures of all factions, and, don’t forget, the occassional Midwest Emo music reference.
I like working both traditionally and digitally, honestly if you hand me any supply I’ll find a way to incorporate it into my process. Right now I have been enjoying working with gouache paint and colored pencils.
I have a love of all aspects of biology ,zoology, focusing on birds and members of the dog family and psychology. In my free time I am either researching any of the above topics, reading manga or playing video games. I listen to a lot of music, mostly from the midwest emo genre, with my favorite bands being Foxing, American Football, The Front Bottoms, Twenty One Pilots, The Wonder Years and Death Cab for Cutie.
